Shannon graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.A.A. in Family Studies. She is currently working on her Masters Degree at Capella University, focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy. Before coming to CMU she had the opportunity to work with at-risk youth who were removed from their homes by the court system. She is very excited about the opportunity to be here at Central, "Having this opportunity is a dream. Being able to educate students, faculty and staff on LGBT concerns is something I have always had a passion for." In her spare time Shannon enjoys working out and she recently began competing in Triathlons. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
